As a voracious reader, I will read anything I can get my hands on. Even if it means the MOMania blog on the Atlanta Journal Constitution website. Now, I'm not a mommy, but I couldn't help myself when I read the headline--"Are Judy Blume books still relevant to today's teens?"
If you're a Judy Blume fan like me (she's one of my all-time favorite authors), you'll want to check out the
article.
And of course, if you do read the article, I want to know what's on your mind!

I think Judy Bloom is amazing and remmeber reading her when I was muuuch younger. A legend like her never goes out of style and teens should still look at her work and read it. Since I am not a teenager I cannot say if or if they do or don't, but I do hope they still read.
hey Shalonda -- I love the look of your blog! I write the MOMania blog for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and I'm glad you were interested in the topic. I LOVED Judy Blume books growing up so I was fascinated by the idea that teens are no longer reading her. I really enjoyed re-reading all my favorites. It was like visiting with old friends!
V: I too think Judy is a legend, and hope that teens are reading and enjoying her as much as I did as a teen.
Theresa: Thank you so much for visiting. I, too, loved Judy Blume, so thank you so much for the great article!
I love the new layout look!
I read Judy Blume like there was no tomorrow when I was a teenager. I bought Becky some Blume titles when she was younger--"Blubber" and "Are you there God, it's me, Margaret". Such brilliant books!
Who doesn't love Judy Blume?!
Teens of today may stay in touch via Myspace, flirt via text, and talk on the phone for hours via cell, but the point is, they still stay in touch, flirt and talk.
The issues of being a teenager have largely been the same for decades, and I hope teens continue to appreciate Judy's work for years to come.
:D
Blume's a classic. Everytime I see that new cover for Forever, though, I think of Sarah Dessen. And that just seems wrong.
