We all love books and we all enjoy these blogs. If not, why would we spend countless hours visiting blogs and making our posts?
Recently, I have noticed that several bloggers (myself included) have not been as active in the community as before. You may have seen that some have not been updated in a while. Others are admittedly in a reading slump. Whether you believe it or not, keeping up these blogs takes a LOT of energy!
Being 100% honest with you, one thing that gets me motivated and excited about my blog, is seeing comments from readers. Every time I get an email notifying me of a new comment (even from spammers like you Carol), I get super happy! And as you may have noted, though it sometimes takes me a while, I try to leave a response or email EVERYONE who leaves me a comment.
My challenge to you is to leave a comment on ALL the blogs you love. That doesn't mean that you have to leave one per post, just one little comment on each blog. It really only takes a minute, and I guarantee you will bring a smile to the blogger's face.
Now, I will admit that I am often lazy. I read every blog on my blogroll and several others and don't leave enough comments. So I am now accepting my own challenge, and beginning tomorrow, I am leaving a comment on every blog I love. So look for my comments and I hope to see some from you, not just on my blog, but on the others we have in common!
Til next time...
*Side note: My first video for Seven Book Babes can be found here. It is just a friendly hello. My first bookish vlog will be up next week!

I love your blog, Shalonda! I'm a terrible lurker...I'll try to be better about posting!!!
ahaha Shalonda you should definitely make a pic for this challenge! I's gonna try this one :D
I love this blog and get great ideas for books to read from here!
i accept your challenge, i try and comment a lot but admittedly i don't always because i read mostly in my google reader
I adore your blog and do my best to come in and comment. I know how it feels when someone takes the time to say something. I am always overjoyed by it. I am new to the book blogging community (started in January) and have found nothing but really nice people that have enriched my life and reading library :)
Thank you
Your video is up?????? Gotta go look now! And what a great post Shalonda! I've missed you! :D
Aw, awesome challenge. I'm always trying to comment as much as possible. Been out of it lately (which you heard about on my blog. Thanks for commenting!!)
I'll definitely try and do more as well.

Ahhhhh, good challenge. My problem is I never know what to say on reviews and such.
I agree, Shalonda!! Comments are so great. Even if they're nonsensical and lack a definite point. :)
As for the reading slump, do you ever feel like it occurs because you're just faced with TOO many choices, too many books you want to read, you need to review, and yet you keep on finding more and more and more until you don't know how to deal with it except by being overwhelmed and NOT reading a book? I feel that way sometimes.
Hi Shalonda,
Every Monday, I host Little Lov'n Monday. The idea is exactly what you are asking here: share the love. I haven't been feeling to well this week (allegeries) so I have been commenting as much but I am a firm believer in commenting and sharing the love. Leave some links for us for LLM and in the meantime, I hope to read you around the way.
Like your new layout and I got the books. Thank you!
Susan
I have been leaving LOTS of comments lately and I noticed that I get a lot more comments too. Do you think one has to do with the other ;)
But seriously...I think it is a great challenge. I have my own where I visit the blog of each person who leaves a comment on my blog and then leave them a comment (except for giveaway posts). It takes a LOT of time so I don't know how long I can keep it up. But I'm going to try!
Kimberly: Thank you so much. I am really bad about being a lurker as well, which is why I decided I needed to write this post.
Yan: Picture added. Not the best, but I didn't really find any that I like more than it.
RGPLYA: Thank you so much. Hopefully now that the end of the school year is quickly approaching, I will have more reviews for you.
Erika Lynn: That's okay. Most people are reading in Google Reader. I tried, but it overwhelms me because it is showing so many posts that I've already read on the actual blog.
Ravenous Reader: I do remember your comments because they are always so sweet!
Lauren: I am so glad you're back and hope that you're better!
Laina: I am often at a loss for words too. I hate to just write "Nice review" or "Thanks for a great review", but sometimes that's all I can say.
Steph Su: I think you are 100% correct on the reading slump. Sometimes I get it when I've finished an amazing book and then pick up a not-so-entertaining one. It just bores me to tears, and makes me not want to read for a while. Also, when I've heard amazing things about a book, and I am not impressed with it, it makes me question whether I need a break.
Susan: I will try to stop in on Monday! Love that idea! Glad you got the books!
Lenore: I LOVE when I have a comment from you (but of course, you know that)! It would be incredibly hard to be in your shoes, as well as some of the other more popular bloggers, based on the amount of readers that visit your blog. But I think it's great that you comment on the blogs that leave comments on your posts!
Alea: Oh my goodness, I can't believe I missed you! Yes, my video is up and I am going to try really hard to update with a new video every week. I will be sure to link to it on the blog as well.
And I am glad to be actively participating again. That means comments on other people's blogs and hopefully consistent posts on my own blog. I was just super exhausted and spending way too much time on the computer, not enough time reading, so I needed some time to catch up on books.
Aww that's ok! It's good to have you back!
OH what a great idea. I love it. I am sure everyone will appreciate a hello here and there. We all love to get comments so let give some too.
I am with you!
Oh Shalonda, you even TOLD me about this and I still forgot to post! I'm sorry. I love your blog and hope to see you at mine too! I, too, get lazy and don't post as much as I should.
Great Challenge!
I also accept your challenge. ^^ I shall rush to FHOTD and post immediately, even though she alread has 213 comments on the post she made 4 hours ago >.<
Yay for E/LA teachers who read YA novels! I am soo ready to graduate and start teaching! This is a great challenge, for so long I was just following blogs and not commenting, I guess I felt silly like they would think "who the heck is this stalking my blog" but I get so excited about comments-it's good to know others do too!
