My First Contest!!!

I am so excited to announce the prizes for my first contest!

In September, during Micol Ostow's Popular Vote Cyber Launch, I won my first contest online.  The prize?  A signed copy of The Boys Next Door and Major Crush, both by Jennifer Echols.  So imagine my excitement, when Jenn offered to generously donate signed copies of both to give away here!

Because I love romantic novels and Valentine's Day is coming up, I decided throw in a brand new, shiny copy of Perfect Chemistry as well!  (It is not signed, as I purchased it myself.)

So....how does one win these 3 wonderful prizes?  Very simple, comment below telling me about your Valentine's Day plans.  Your plans can include anything--spending it with a significant other or hanging out in your pjs watching scary movies.

For an extra entry, you may link this contest to your blog.  Be sure to leave the link in a separate comment (sidebars are fine).

And finally, you will receive two extra entries, if you become a follower or already a follower. Again, to make things easier for me, please include this info in a separate comment.

Please be sure to leave an email address so I can contact the winner.  If your email address is already  listed in your profile, no need to leave your addy.

One more thing...right now, there will only be one winner.  However, if the winner already has one of the titles, I will replace it, and there will be a second winner, who will receive only one book.

This contest is only open to those in the US (sorry) and ends at midnight on Sunday, February 1.

Ahhh! Awesome! I don't have any of these, so I want I want I want.

Valentine's Day? Ha. It'll probably be spent reading a lovely dovey romantic book at home and feeling pathetic for myself. :P

Cool giveaway! I have both Perfect Chemistry and The Boys Next Door (but my copy is tainted with kool-aid) so I really want to win the two Jennifer Echol's books. :)

Valentine's day? I'll be doing what Chelsea is doing, feeling pathetic and reading these two RomCom's, if I win that is.

*Sigh* Looks like Chelsea, Carol, and I are all in the same boat. Can anyone say "book blogger chat for us poor sods?" hahahah

I don't know what I'll do in particular. I don't have a boyfriend, so nothing like that. I might just hang out with my sister and have some fun! Who knows!!

Oh, and I'm already following you. :)

You're in my subscriptions...does that count or do I have to follow you? Let me know!

Valentine's Day... I'll probably read something appropriate for the day and watch some romantic movie... or maybe something with violence and science fiction. Whatever.

I'm already a follower, and I posted about the contest here: http://paradoxrevealed.blogspot.com/2008/12/official-contest-list.html

Hello Shalonda and thank you for this contest. I do not have any of these books so this is awesome, so please enter me.

My plans for Valintines Day is to meet up with all my chica's and we are going to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. I adore the shopaholic series and cannot wait to finally see it on the big screen with my friends.

I will be spending my Valentine's Day with a good book and a large cup of tea. I, however, refuse to be sad about that because its one of my favorite ways to spend a night. Thanks for the giveaway!

I'm with almost everyone else: I'm doing nada for Valentine's Day. Lauren, I do think we need to have a chat that day.

Yay, those books all sound good. Please enter me!

My Valentine's day plans? Well, I wouldn't know. My boyfriend is the one who plans that one! But I'll tell you what we've done in past V-days. 1st Valentine's- He gave me purple roses and took me out to the restaurant of my choice! (our 6th month anniversary is on the 25th so we celebrate them at the same time). 2nd Valentine's- He surprised me at the end of our theatre class with balloons, flowers, and candy. Then we went to the zoo (that was supposed to be our 1st date, but b/c of timing we never did it) and then out to dinner for the restaurant of my choice. I can't wait to see what he comes up with this year.

And I'll put a link of the contest in my blog's sidebar.

I wanted to also mention that we'll be running contests through the month of Feb on the Bradford Novels blog in honor of the book 1 launch (GoldenGirl). Stop by!
We're also looking to run some q&a's with book bloggers as part of the party, so if you are interested, just email me.

Ooh, I'd love to be entered!

Unfortunately, for this Valentine's Day, my boyfriend will be in Brazil so it looks like we'll probably be having a Skype date...

I'm going to picnic with my friends! I really like this giveaway - I've wanted to read all three of these. (Especially Major Crush. I was a band nerd in high school.)

Great contest. I have no clue what I'll be doing on Valentine's Day. Hopefully I'll have a hot date haha.

I don't have any of these books either, but I do love the trailer for Perfect Chemistry.

For Valentine's Day I am planning on doing something super duper fun. I am planning to go to a book signing. Who will be there? Wendy Toliver. And she told me a list of other names and the only one I remember is Sara Zarr.

Jealous?

Megan said...

Chelsea linked me to your blog today to show me your video. Blame her for not linking me earlier. I followed right away!! It is so cool to see you into the same books as I grew up with (except SVH) since we are close in age and all. I have been blabbering to Chelsea about Sunset Island for a few months now and she is all SHUT UP ALREADY. So, thank you for validating me. I know you are regretting it already.

Hi Sholanda,

I run a community library at a local non-profit. We don't have a budget so I'm always looking for opportunities to acquire books. Without funding we're not doing too bad and if I win here, that's one more book for my girls. Thanks for hosting the contest.

Oh, I'm older than you so to your students I'm ancient. I'll be spending a quite evening at home with my guy.

Yaaaay! I love books. For Valentines day, the boy and I will be visiting the Science Museum. First because we are dorks, and second, because it is the place where he proposed to me. The first time. When we were on a 5th grade field trip. We're kind of cute that way.

This is cool. On Valentine's day I will be at home. Probably cleaning, reading, and surfing the web. You know, the usual. lol

tetewa said...

I'll be at home watching at romance and having a small dinner planned.

That's great! I haven't read any of these!

What I will be doing on Valentine's Day is helping my mom. She has a small business where she sells party supplies, gifts, flowers, and cakes. Valentine's Day is the busiest day she has! So many people want deliveries and last minute gifts. I will be there all day because people want things at all hours. I have done this before, last year, so I know that I am in for some hard work!

thanks!
